Miss Lily is safe, warm and loved in a foster home. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and especially a huge thank you to Stellaluna and her mom for her cross-posting.

Life from the view of an eyeless pup - and his BFF.
I'm gonna cross post this to Stella's blog and mention it on my Facebook. Do you know if they've contacted any of the Pittie rescues in the Northeast?

Thanks! I just found out about her in the past few hours so we are still in the beg. stages. One rescue has been contacted, no word back yet. Also, I haven't received word from the shelter that she is still there (her PF page is down.) Fingers are crossed that they took her page down because she found a forever home....NOT because her time is up tomorrow first thing. Anything you can do to help is is SO MUCH appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI just sent an email to several pittie & standard rescues and copied the folks from Floyd Animal Shelter.
ReplyDeleteI also just got the smack down for suggesting an agressive dog be rescued. *off to nip this in the bud*
Just heard from Margaret (you may have as well) and Lily was rescued/adopted!!
ReplyDeleteI told her if they are in contact with the rescuer/adopter that I'm sure the Dogs With Blogs community would love to get updates on her if they're so inclined to do so.
Woooooo!
Jen, I hope you don't mind I commented on your blog in reply to Samantha. Please feel free to delete my comment if you prefer, I won't be offended :)
ReplyDeleteHi--I just saw this post about Lily, and we're so glad she is safe now. I also liked your comment on Stellaluna's blog, I think it was very informative and educated and I'm glad you shared. We're looking forward to reading more about your dogs.
